Dental Technician, Denture

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan the appropriate setup and operation of various laboratory tools and ensure proper quantities of raw material inventory is on hand for fabrication of appliances
- Read prescription forms or specifications from customers and examine dental models or impressions from customers to determine the design of the appliance to be fabricated
- Create a model of the patients' mouth by pouring plaster into the dental model or impression allowing plaster to set
- Dentures procedure: (1) Preparing (box and pour impression material, trim models, set and seal bites and articulate; (2) Setting Up (select and setup teeth); (3) Waxing (wax dentures for try-in and/or finish; (4) Processing (invest and boil-out, pack); and (5) Finishing (finish and contour dentures, polish dentures)
- Provide Dentures repairing for the customers
- Test appliance for conformance to specifications and accuracy of occlusion, using articulators
- Scan appliance into lab management database upon completion of designated fabrication tasks assigned to technician and place appliance in designated area for the next step in the fabrication process
- Clear Retainer procedure: (1) Preparing (arrange the 3D printer to print the mold and utilize the space for printing); (2) Setting Up (Heat the FDA-approved polyurethane plastic and formed around the model to create the clear retainer; (3) Finishing (cut the retainer out of the plastic, separate it from the mold, and trim away any excess to get it to the exact height and contour to meet dentist expectation. Finally, smooth the edges and sterilize it)
- Maintain a neat and clean workspace to prevent workplace damage and minimize potential for injury

**Requirements**:

- High school graduate or equivalent
- Hands-on experience operating 3D printers and milling machines
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Good command of English
- Excellent team communication and cooperation
- Requires manual dexterity, strong attention to detail and good spatial and visual perception
- Requires flexibility and adaptability to meet laboratory demands
- Ability to follow safety rules when operating hand tools
- Can work under general supervision
