Project Lead Engineer

**DESCRIPTION**:
As Project Lead Engineer, you are responsible for growing our Energy Transition focus rapidly and significantly. To provide an integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, hydrogen and hydrogen carriers, thermal generation, renewable generation, and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand-side management strategies.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide inspirational leadership and drive operational excellence with a dedicated focus on Energy Transition. In conjunction with your technical role, you will provide consistent leadership and role modeling of HBA’s core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture and prioritizes the health and wellbeing of your people.
- You will set clear direction and provide a strong role model regarding client focus and responsiveness, and your developing client relationships will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs and ensure our recruitment, retention, and development programs reflect this need.
- With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to be engaged, resilient and adaptable, and inspire them to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding project delivery, responsible and proactive commercial management, and making disciplined investment decisions.
- You will support team members to link their individual goals to key businesses to build satisfying and meaningful careers for your Section.
- Encourage cross-geography relationships to maximize the benefit to our clients and our people of global delivery.
- You’ll focus primarily on supporting client investment decision-making in their energy transition strategy and planning by undertaking strategic investment appraisals incorporating commercial, social, environmental, and technical considerations.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Management.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Finance, a Masters or Post-Grad Diploma is desirable in a related field (Energy).
- Knowledge or experience in the energy and power sector
- Experience in due diligence and/or lender’s advisor activities
- Excellent appraisal and analytical ability, including the ability to develop and interpret financial models
- Conducting benchmarking and advising clients on strategy, targets, priorities, pathways, road mapping, and solutions associated with decarbonization and emissions reduction
- Growing our business with respect to energy transition and decarbonization strategic services, ultimately becoming a ‘trusted advisor’ to our existing and future client base
- Working with global leads, particularly regarding energy networks, energy storage, decarbonization, energy management, sustainable finance, climate risk, sustainable programs/project delivery, and ESG risks to redefine what is possible for our clients.
- Driving high levels of technical quality delivery of decarbonization and climate action services
- Utilizing existing relationships to identify and develop our decarbonization market offerings to our client base
- Mentoring and developing staff to enable quality delivery on decarbonization and climate action
- Monitoring and communicating trends in energy transition and decarbonization across the business
- Leveraging technical knowledge to assist in driving decarbonization strategy delivery in the Asia Pacific (APAC) and globally
