The International Sourcing Manager - Ocean manages the global ocean transportation spend of Corning. This role owns transportation sourcing and negotiation, supplier relationship management, contract management, spend analytics, and supplier performance. In addition, this role ensures supplier compliance of key corporate initiatives including sustainability, risk management, and supplier diversity program.

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Strategic Sourcing:

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for global ocean
- Meet business needs as measured in cost, quality, and service
- Lead bid negotiation with suppliers
- Lead ocean tender by leveraging Corning’s eSourcing platform
- Ensure rate card compliance of ocean
- Ensure rate card completeness and validity for ocean
- Own global ocean category including APAC regional ocean sourcing
- Benchmark Corning rates performance with market intelligence
- Track actual savings of bid results
- Develop and optimize supplier base
- Contract Management:

- Execute global transportation contract with strategic forwarders (ocean)
- Oversee and complete timely renewals of NDAs (ocean)
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop programs for ongoing supplier performance measurement
- Manage escalations of supplier performance issues
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews with key suppliers
- Corporate key initiatives
- Develop supplier improvement program for underperforming carriers
- Drive sustainability program to achieve carbon footprint reduction
- Support requirements of key logistics initiatives including Freight Bill Audit and Payment, Visibility carrier report
- Enforce billing and payment process improvements with suppliers
- Develop and lead cross-functional teams to deliver savings, service improvements and process efficiencies
- Contribute as a key member in Global Logistics strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations
- Perform additional responsibilities as required within the organization

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics sourcing, operations execution, supplier management, and project management
- High integrity in working relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Leadership and innovative skills with global strategic mindset
- Relevant experience in transportation management system, freight bill audit solutions
- Customs and trade compliance knowledge are preferred
- Project management experience, Green or black belt is preferred

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in business/logistics sourcing/supply chain management. A Master of Business Administration degree is an advantage
