**Job Overview
The **Safety Officer **is responsible for ensuring compliance with work, health and safety (WHS) guidelines in a workplace.

They play an important role in promoting a safe working environment by advising on safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures.

The safety officer will also act as a Management Representative in all WSH and ISO related matters.

**Responsibilities and Duties
- Represent management to review WSH implementation.
- Conduct safety inspection/audits to identify hazards and safety gaps at the workplace.
- Conduct/Review site incident investigation and able to identify root causes.
- Liaise with government agencies, insurance, auditors, and sites safety officers on safety related matters.
- Work with consultants to achieve WSH best practices recognition & ISO certification.
- Organize and establish the stakeholder’s WSH Committee Meeting.
- Attend critical work planning meetings/review.
- Conduct regular staff & toolbox meetings to share best practice techniques.
- Regularly inspect equipment and work site.
- Review and advise on Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and any related QEHS documents.
- Assist in PTW submission.
- Act as Management Representative to ensure that the ISO (45001, 9001 & 14001) processes are established, implemented, and maintained.
- Dormitory Management: assist to manage dormitory related agreements, complete administration for workers checking in and out of dormitory, coordinate with dormitory operator to ensure maintenance, cleanliness and security of the dormitory.

**Qualifications**
- Registered Safety Officer/Coordinator with MOM
- Possess minimum WSH ‘Level B’ and WSH Officer Certificate
- In-depth knowledge of ESH legislation, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Construction knowledge and experience preferred.
