Director, Software Engineering

As an engineering leader, you will lead teams within the International Employer function, guiding them to deliver the best products to serve international employers. You will lead existing teams and help build new teams in the International Employer portfolio. Partnering with other Directors of Engineering, you will work with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, Test & Software Engineers and other stakeholders across the company to help us achieve our mission.

You will contribute to the product roadmap, technology, and vision while creating a culture of quality and operational excellence in the group. You’ll assist your teams in designing solutions, prioritizing work items, estimating urgency and business impact, and balancing short-term and long-term results. You will help grow our engineers and managers, and build high performing teams with a high degree of professional satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and coach the International Employer organization
- Drive hiring decisions and a culture that supports Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B)
- Provide technical leadership and vision across the International Business Unit
- Collaborate with other Engineering Directors, Product Leadership and other business units to create a cohesive cohesive vision, strategy and roadmap for the organization
- Develop OKRs corresponding to technical metrics as well as value deliver to our users
- Mentor, coach and provide thought leadership to your team and peers
- Help foster an engineering culture with an exceedingly high bar for quality, ownership, and bias for action

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in managing software development with a strong track record of on-time delivery for large, cross-functional projects
- Previous experience leading through others
- Strong ability to coach and grow leaders, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
- Past proficiency of at least one Object Oriented or Functional programming language
- 10+ years implementing various architectures including monoliths, microservices, event driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working within a global environment is a plus

**Salary Range Disclaimer**:
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

**Salary Range Transparency**:
Singapore 226,000 - 328,000 SGD per year
