Director, Global Supplier Quality Assurance

This role will report into the Global Chief Supply Chain Officer. He/she will co-ordinate the Supplier Quality and this will not only involve development and implementation of the necessary tools & processes but also the development & agreement of one global SQA job role structure. A further key purpose is to firstly ensure that there is a suitable level of supplier risk management is in place followed by enhancing this with a focused Supplier (development) partnership program.
**_GOVERNANCE _**
- Ensure that all expectations of the managers at Executive level are appropriately managed and the level of communication & understand is sufficient.
- Set up the required designated reporting structure to include all KPI’s for GSQA. Ensure any & all KPI’s are discussed and agreed on a yearly basis.
**_OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE _**
- Look to develop the SQA function so that it forms a key part of the risk & development management of all suppliers. Ensure that the various roles within SQA are suitably defined and agreed upon globally.
- Continue to build the role & reputation of the global SQA team with the aim to be best in class.
- Develop & implement processes of internal audit to cover the compliance of the agreed structure.
**_GSQA PROCESSES _**
- Ensure that the GSQA tools and processes being used are suitable for ensuring the management of supplier risk. Continually look to review, enhance and add to the tools & processes used. The first being the implementation of a standard global set of supplier metrics.
- Develop the framework for a Supplier Partnership program and look to implement within the Group.
**_SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT (Audit) _**
- Ensure each Business Unit (BU) has developed and is a position to implement the necessary yearly auditing programs outlined by the GSQA frame work. This also includes the selection & approval of new suppliers.
- Monitor the progress of each BU’s auditing program to ensure accuracy of audits along with the follow through of suitable CAPA’s.
**_SUPPLIER (DEVELOPMENT) PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM _**
- With the involvement of the necessary takeholders, look to develop a supplier program that endeavors to create added value to both parties.
- Create a suitable structure within SQA to support such a program with clear KPI’s.
- Ensure that all Program activities & achievements are suitably reported.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor/ Masters of Applied Science in Food Science & Technology, Food & Nutrition, Food Safety & Quality, Bioscience, Life Science, or related faculty.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Supplier Quality Assurance/ Quality Assurance in the Food manufacturing industries.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Snr Managerial role in a large FMCG (Food) organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Supplier Quality Assurance best practices and the tools & processes that go with that.
- Strong knowledge of the requirements to ensure safe & low risk food products.
- Detailed understanding of globally accepted Food certifications.
- Strong knowledge & capability in auditing skills for Food Quality, CSR & Environmental compliance.
- Strong capability in document administration with detailed mind.
- Strong analytical skills and capability in risk management & problem solving.
- Ability to read & write English. Additional proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malay/ Indonesia, Vietnamese, or
- Proficient in MS Words, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
