As Singapore harnesses technology to improve lives and livelihoods for all, it is imperative that our plans are built on a strong foundation of cybersecurity, without which we would be exposing ourselves to the multitude of threats that lurk in cyberspace.
Role
The incumbent will be leading the Malware Analysis Team to analyse and investigate malwares, advanced persistent threats (APTs), and other cyber threats, contributing to the overall mission of protecting Singapore’s cyberspace and enhancing our nation’s cybersecurity posture.
**Responsibilities**:
Perform in-depth analysis of malwares to understand the behaviour and capabilities of a malware and prepare comprehensive reports on malware analysis findings to present the findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Provide expertise in dissecting malware with crucial insights, immediate and actionable intelligence needed to understand, contain and prevent cyberattacks.
Conduct in-depth research with more systematic understanding of evolving malware threats and create high fidelity detection mechanisms to identify emerging threats.
Oversee the implementation of new projects and technologies, by translating plans into operations through well-defined workflows, automation and robust technical solutions.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level malware analysts, fostering their growth and skill development.
Develop and deliver training programmes on advanced malware analysis techniques.
**Requirements**:
Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Relevant working experience of 10 to 15 years with domain expertise in Malware Analysis
At least 4 years of supervisory experience in leading and mentoring technical teams
Possess Malware Analysis or other relevant cybersecurity certifications is an advantage
