Acquisitions Editor

**Responsibilities**
- Acquire academic contents for books and journals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) topics.
- Manage and develop journals to improve both the quality and profitability of the journals concerned.
- Responsible for the full editorial process from manuscript to publication, including liaising with authors, reviewers, typesetters, printers, and designers, as well as preparing necessary paperwork and contracts.
- Cultivate positive relationships with authors, reviewers, editorial board members, key advisors, colleagues from various departments and other stakeholders to foster stronger collaboration.
- Ensure the commercial value of acquired titles by, e.g., analysing the time and cost of production, to maintain a steady and profitable revenue stream.
- Research and prepare statistics for market trends and prioritize publication that best suit current market trends.
- Participate in marketing and promotion activities for books and journals.
- Any ad hoc projects as and when required and assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Pure Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Must have initiative, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.
- Must be able to execute all duties diligently to achieve professional success and also enhance the business of the organization.
- Prior experience in academic publishing will be given preference.

Pay: $3,200.00 - $4,000.00 per month
