**GM Lab**:

- GM Lab is a spin-off quantitative research team which mandate is to build the next generation of Data Intelligence and language understanding products used in BNP Paribas Global Markets. This small team works on projects using the latest techniques in Artificial Intelligence, Data modelling and Natural Language Understanding.
- The GM Lab collaborates closely with other Business, Quant Research and Technology teams

**Key Responsibilities**
- Explore and examine data from multiple diverse data sources.
- Conceptual modeling, statistical analysis, predictive modeling and optimization design.
- Understand and work around limitations in analytic models.
- Data cleanup, normalization and transformation.
- Process optimization design based on historical data.
- Hypothesis testing: being able to develop hypothesis and test with careful experiments.
- Discover hidden insights/embedded patterns and enable business stakeholders to make more informed decisions.
- Help build workflows for extraction, transformation and loading of different data from a variety of sources and enable linking them to existing systems and datasets.
- Ensure the integrity and security of data.
**Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)**
- Experience working in a field related to statistics or data mining.
- Experience performing data manipulation and pattern analysis.
- Experience with knowledge management.
- Experience in data science or a related field.
- Expertise in data analytics and data visualization.
- Knowledge of big data solution, database scripting skill, Python, Kibana, Hadoop, Spark is a plus
- At least 2 of the 4 programming language: HTML, JS, Python, R
- Soft skills

1. Good communication skills
2. Ability to work on multiple topics simultaneously
3. Able to work autonomously within the requirements of the project and the quant team.
4. A flexible, hands-on attitude and willingness to make things happen.
**Specific Qualifications Required**
- Bachelor degree is a must, Master / PhD preferred.
