Operations Associate, Crypto Hedge Fund

We are a discretionary, event-driven proprietary trading firm and hedge fund specialized in the digital asset space. Our edge comes from: - Deep research on market-moving events. - Speed in responding to events. - On-chain monitoring and analysis. We have performed extraordinarily well since inception 1.5 years ago**:9 figure AUM with 1,200%+ return vs 87.5% for BTC and Sharpe of 3.5+ vs BTC at 1.0.** We've grown to a team of ~20 across Trading & Research, Tech, and Operations. We're seeking a Fund Operations Associate with at least 1-2 years of accounting experience who: - (~80%) Supports various aspects of fund operations and vendor communications (especially our fund administrator). There will many accounting tasks (reconciliation, reporting, expense processing, bank runs). - (~20%) Supports various aspects of investor relations (new investor onboarding/KYC, fielding basic questions, preparing and sending routine reports). This is an opportunity for a relatively new graduate (likely 1-2 years of experience, but up to 5 YOE accepted): - To be exposed to a wide variety of tasks across a hedge fund's operations and back-office. There will be advancement opportunities as we continue to expand. **Our Requirements** **Necessities** The following are the most important non-negotiable requirements for this role: - You must have at least 1-2 years of experience in accounting (Big 4 audit, fund administration, or fund audit preferred) with knowledge of the basics of financial markets. - You must have strong interpersonal skills and discretion, as you will deal with routine requests from our investors. - You must be extremely detail oriented. For example, we expect zero spelling or formatting errors in your work. **Tablestakes** We also expect the following as necessities for this role: - This role is based out of our Taipei Xinyi office and you will be expected to come into the office 5 days per week. - You must be fluent in both English and Chinese as you will be dealing with external counterparties in both languages. **Nice-to-Haves** - Experience with hedge fund accounting or hedge fund operations. - Knowledge of fund structures, legal documents, and regulatory requirements. - Previous experience with investor relations or client servicing. - Experience with cryptocurrencies. **Interview Process** After you apply, you can expect the following interview process: - CV Screening - Against the criteria above. - Recruiter Call - An overview of the company and role with some basic technical questions asked. - First Interview (Fund Accounting) - Focused on testing your accounting knowledge while also screening for cultural fit. - Second Interview (Investor Relations) - Focused on testing your interpersonal skills while also screening for cultural fit. - There may be a final interview with one of our partners, depending on our discretion. - A copy of your CV and cover letter.
