Head Barista with Profit Share

As Head Barista, you will be in charge of the operations and the beverage programs. To prepare you, we will train you with our speciality coffee roaster to get you up to speed on speciality coffee. You will also work with the founders to create the new beverage program and deploy it.

A typical day will include opening and closing the coffee bar and cafe, cleaning, building relationship with customers, innovating different ways and products to attract and retain more customers and working with other team members to ensure smooth service at all times.

**Key Requirements**
You need to be proficient in using an espresso machine and making espresso-based beverages. Experience at Starbucks or other chains is acceptable as we will train you from scratch in Specialty Coffee.

You are expected to maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations.
- Open, operate and close the venue which includes cashier duties, cleaning and dishwashing.
- Sell, prepare and serve beverages and food items.
- Create rapport and increase our customer base.
- Assist in creating beverage programs and developing new products.
- Assist in inventory management & replenishment in a timely manner
- Hire and train and manage junior baristas after establishing the beverage program
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Good interpersonal skills when dealing with guests and associates
- Proactive, motivated and reliable, with keen attention to detail
- Punctual, good working attitude and able to work under pressure
- Good time management and discipline to ensure optimal work performance
- Adaptable to guest needs and works well with diverse cultures
- Comfortable with using social media to promote the program.

- 5 day work week
- Immediate full-time opportunity
- Salary Range - $2,500 - $2,800 with profit share on top.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in F&B ideally in speciality coffee.
- Able to work weekends & public holidays

- **Dapper Coffee**
We started as a small cafe in Boat Quay in 2013 and were one of the earlier venues that focused on Speciality Coffee in Singapore. We later moved to Amoy Street to our current location and created a program that has focused on pushing the boundaries of coffee with techniques from the culinary and bartending world.
We took a break at the tail-end of the pandemic to re-strategise and refocus the brand. We are now looking for a business leader to spearhead that transformation and build with us for the future.
