**Responsibilities**
- To lead a team of Technician/Snr Technician to carryout 1st line maintenance on all train borne-equipment in a safe and efficient manner with the objective of reducing train downtime and improve train serviceability and availability
- Plan and organize maintenance activities in the most efficient way to fully utilize the available resources
- Supervises corrective maintenance team in rectifying train-related faults and restoring a failed system or equipment to a normal and safe operating state in shortest possible time
- Lead a team of Technicians to carryout “fault train” rectification and restore the train in the shortest possible time in either depot or mainline
- Performs pre-service checks on trains prior to revenue service and rectify any abnormality encountered during inspections
- Undertakes modification works and fleet-wide checks
- Supervise staff who require guidance to ensure they are always competent to carry out the work
- Performs Electric Train Driving and Shunting as and when required
- Assist Senior Assistant Engineer /Engineer to continuously finding new ways to improve work processes
- Ensures strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations, rectifying hazards or, where this is not possible, reporting them
- Maintain maintenance records and documentations in accordance with ISO quality standards and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Polytechnic diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
- Good analytical and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge in electrical/electronic/pneumatic and air conditioning systems
- Possesses planning and prioritizing skills
- Good interpersonal, management and communication skills
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and is capable of motivating teammates
- Have good initiative, able to work well independently in demanding situations
- Required to be put on 24 hours standby round the clock for any unforeseen emergency recall
- Able to work on 3 rotating shifts
- Able to identify colours
