**Position Description**

Develop long-term business strategies, including identifying opportunities for growth and revenue. Implement the company business strategy through specific territory plans which have to be aligned with the various sales teams, with responsibility for the QIAGEN portfolio and market segments.

Build business strategy and ROI computation to present and defend growth opportunities

Increase sales of QIAGEN products by developing tactical plans to maximize revenues, monitoring and managing sales and expense budgets in the assigned regions, and validating successful selling channels, processes and opportunities

Responsible for the development and monitoring of annual sales targets of the portfolio, key performance indicators and revenue forecasts.

Maintain, monitor and analyze market trends and dynamics, competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and competitive advantage.

Track business performance, identifying weaknesses in ongoing and internal processes and strategies, and making recommendations for change.

Evaluate potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Maintain and develop relationships with market leaders, key customers, KOLs, partners and all key stakeholders. Communicate prioritized opportunities and needs to internal QIAGEN teams to implement and monitor strategies and for product development.

Work closely with regional marketing managers to provide market feedback

Oversee policy implementation and resource allocation.

Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitor activities

Develop analytical reports and presenting findings to management. Identify and solve business problems by translating analysis into actionable solutions.

Build a multi-year plan with end users

**Position Requirements**

Master or Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biology or related studies

At least 8-10 years of experience in sales, business development or market development in the relevant industry.

Strong technical capabilities and ability to build good relationships with customers.

Strong analysis and planning capabilities

Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.

Able to travel up to 30%.
