Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Iii-challenge

**Responsibilities**:

- Find scalable ways to automate functional, usability, compatibility, performance, API, database, security, and accessibility testing
- Influence and refactor the development codebase for testability, performance, security, usability, and accessibility
- Develop and infuse automation into the development life cycle. Use a test-driven approach leveraging Push on Green (CI/CD). Enable pushing code to production much faster. while minimizing the impact of mistakes, and making it easier to diagnose failures
- Contribute to the design of automation frameworks, automation infrastructure, and various tools
Discuss with SRE/SWE about most appropriate test strategy for the team (technology)
- Send Code Reviews for approval to SWEs, and also participate on SWE’s CR (when they contribute with the test code)
- Resolve doubts/questions about automation from other team members
- Work with other QAs to understand existing pain points on manual verification, or automation opportunities to reduce manual burden and improve quality
- Participate on team meetings and provide thoughts from QA automation perspective
- Weekly 1:1 meetings with QA Manager and Engineer Manager to sync about thoughts or block roads, priorities and team goals
- Participate in a monthly QA meeting to understand and contribute to the GM wide QA initiatives and goals
- Stay up-to-date on high priorities and goals for your team and department
- Work close with other QAAE from other teams and provide support/guidance/mentoring contributing to succeed in their team’s goals

**Who You Are**:

- BS in Computer Science or a related area, or with relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Software Developer, or similar Automation role
- Experience with test frameworks such as PyTest, TestNG, RSpec, JUnit, Jasmine, Mocha, etc.
- Proficient in one or more of the following technologies: RESTful APIs, gRPC, or Selenium Webdriver automation with Java, Python or other object-oriented languages
- Able to and passionate to create automated scripts/tests to ensure the quality of the product
- Should be a person that is able to understand the system architecture
- Being able to analyze the architecture and identify high/critical components (the appropriate test scenarios to ensure the quality of the product)
- Being able to create a proper test strategy, shared and get feedback from other team members
- Mentor other QAs/SWE in the team, enabling them to write automated tests
- Experience working on automated deploys (Pipeline, Monitors, deploying to QA/Stage/Prod

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Tokyo 11,430,000 - 16,570,000 JPY per year
