Singapore- Investment Banking- PermanentThis is a great opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 investment bank managing a small team with significant growth planned. The team covers all aspects of Trade Support from risk calcualtions to P/L calculations for a large team of Derivatives Traders in varying locations in APAC.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures that all daily Trading processing activities are completed within the agreed deadlines; i.e. trade affirmation, position keeping, lifecycle processing, controls and EOD processing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business colleagues across Trading, Finance, IT and external clearing vendors
- Maintenance of all aspects of OTC trade support (Confirmation/Settlement)
- Providing solutions for improved efficiency and control of operational processes
- Identify and assesses opportunities for process developments and improvements
- Drive forward new business opportunities and projects relating to Trading functions
- Strive to improve operational performance, create value and outperform competitors
- Contribute to the development of key procedural improvements across Trade Support operations to ensure maximum processing efficiency and reduced operational risk to organisation and clients.
- Implement robust controls for processing of exotic trades
- Manage staff and resources - provide leadership and people management to the Middle Office team

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ relevant global markets business experience (working within an Derivative Operations/Middle Office team)
- Proven track record in supporting Derivatives trading activities at a team leader level
- An extensive knowledge of key Derivative strategies and market complexities (both OTC and Exchange Traded)
- Full understanding of the front to back Operations process e.g. transaction management, settlement, corporate actions, cash flows, reconciliation and confirmations
- Preferred to have proven track record in leading change activities and ability to manage diverse teams (prior exposure to off shore support models an advantage)
- Good academic qualifications preferably to degree level
- Detailed knowledge of Derivatives operational requirements - both vanilla and exotic. This includes cash flow calculation, risk valuation, lifecycle events
- Has a good understanding of the following activities: Trade Processing, Validation, Settlement, Mark to Market, P/L, Risk Management principles, Confirmation Processing, Front to Back Reconciliations, liaison with Clearers/Exchanges
- Strong control mindset, proven record of managing controls within a dynamic framework
- Ability to identify and solve control issues
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
