[What the role is]

You will be working in the School of Design & Media to develop curriculum and courses related to media, animation, games and visual effects. Responsible for teaching fundamental art & design, 2D visual development, fundamental animation and project supervision in 2D character animation and painting.

[What you will be working in]
- Develop curriculum, deliver courses related to media, animation, game art, game design and visual effects
- Coach, mentor learners, and be involved in learner development activities
- Lead and facilitate in student exchanges and study trips for both online and in-person modes where practicable
- Assist in outreach activities for both online and in-person modes where practicable
- Undertake academic administration and development of online learning materials

[What we are looking for]
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Applied Arts, 2D Character Animation, Game Art, Game Design, Computer Animation, Visual Effects, Procedural Effects & Simulation, Virtual Production, Real-Time CG Production and Media Production
- Relevant qualification in Applied Arts / 2D Animation Design / Computer Art & Animation / Visual Effects / 3D Visualisation & Simulation / Game Art / Game Design / Technical Direction / Immersive Media & Technology or equivalent
- Possess relevant knowledge in 2D Character Design, Digital Puppetry, Digital Art, 3D Asset Creation, Character Rigging, GUI, Modelling & Texturing, Scripting and Project Management is a bonus
- Proficient in software like Adobe Animate, AfterEffects, Toonboom, Maya, Blender, Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, Illustrator, Substance Painter, Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Nuke and ZBrush
- Passionate in nurturing the next generation of multidisciplinary 2D Character Animators, Story Artists, Designers, Illustrators, CG artists, Game artist and VFX artists
- Ability and agility to perform in a fast-paced environment, to adapt, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to people manage with pastoral care and empathy
- Good communication, interpersonal, presentation and writing skill

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Foundation skills such as Art, Observational Drawing, Painting, Classical Animation, Colour & Design, Concept Ideation, Digital Painting & Illustration, Sculpting
