GDMC is expanding our Analytics team and is seeking an exceptional Scientist II. As Scientist II in the Analytics department, you will be developing assays using molecular biology as well as biochemical methods. You will also be exposed to overall process of developing analytical assays and technical transfer to Quality Control. Come join us and be part of our journey to becoming the premier partnership development and manufacturing organization in Asia Pacific. **Responsibilities** - Interact with client partners on a daily or weekly basis for assay technology transfer, stakeholder alignment and troubleshooting. - Manage junior members of the assay development team in proper scientific techniques and experimental design as necessary. - Design, qualify, and troubleshoot analytical assays to support GDMC’s plasmid DNA, mRNA and viral vector programmes. - Create and review well-articulated and comprehensive laboratory protocols, standard operating procedures, and development reports. - Collaborate with process development and quality control teams. **Requirements**: - PhD or Masters in Biological Science and Life Science disciplines, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or equivalent. - At least 2 - 3 years of prior work experience within bioprocessing, academic or commercial instrumentation / assay development environments. - Demonstrable proficiency in designing and troubleshooting analytical assays. - Demonstrable proficiency with molecular assays e.g., qPCR and digital PCR. - Experience with a wide variety of analytical techniques e.g., liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis. - Work authorization in Singapore. **Desired Qualifications** - Experience in performing technology transfer processes. - Proficiency with molecular biology techniques and plasmid cloning. - Proficiency with mammalian cell-based assays. - Understanding of cGMP requirements for biomanufacturing or pharmaceutical industries. - Direct experience with AAV or lentiviral vectors, mRNA and/or lipid nanoparticles.
