Senior Contracts Manager

A Senior Contract Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing contract-related functions, ensuring compliance, and managing risks. A Senior Contract Manager also collaborates with project managers and financial controllers to align contract objectives with project and company goals. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to navigate complex construction contracts effectively.
**Responsibilities**:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks in contract terms, providing guidance on contract clauses, obligations, and liabilities.
- Assess contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, staying updated on construction and contract law changes.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, from initiation through project completion and closeout.
- Monitor contract performance, ensuring deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
- Handle variations, claims, and changes, assessing their impact on contracts and project scope.
- Ensure contract budgets align with project financial targets, monitoring expenses, and revenue.
- Approve and process payments to contractors and subcontractors, ensuring accurate billing and invoicing.
- Act as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding contract matters.
- Provide clear communication on contract requirements, modifications, and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Address conflicts and disputes that may arise during project execution, coordinating with legal teams as needed.
- Ensure all parties fulfill their contractual obligations, conducting regular audits of contract compliance.
- Supervise and mentor junior contract managers, providing guidance on complex contract issues.
- Lead training sessions on contract management best practices, risk mitigation, and compliance for the team.
**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a comparable role, specializing in contract management and administration, particularly in the construction industry
- Profound knowledge in Contract Negotiation and Administration
- Relevant experience in both Singapore's public and private sector projects
- Relevant experience in handling subcontracts
