**Purpose of Position**

Supervise the operational units in operational function of Seafreight Export with a hands-on approach, and achieve departmental efficiency regarding quality and productivity

**Key Tasks**

Summary of the main tasks of the role.
- Supervise the entire Sea Ocean Export Team that manage incoming shipment & other related correspondences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of any policy or regulation from local authority and the freight forwarding industry
- Liaise and co-ordinate with Commercial team to meet and exceed customer requirements especially business onboarding.
- Support the team in all aspects of their job requirements.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of operational & billing KPI.
- Liaise and report to Export Manager, Procurement/ Ocean and Customs departments, overseas offices and carriers on all operational irregularities (damages, shortages, surplus, misrouted cargo)
- Follow up cargo and insurance claims with customs/surveyors and other DSV Houses on damaged or missing cargo
- Adhere to incident handling & claims and credit control procedures
- Ensure and monitor that bill-back invoices are sent and followed up in a timely manner to overseas offices
- Escalate job processing impediments to respective Section Manager for Export Seafreight activities
- Ensure all customer SOPs are followed and department adheres to standard processes, and recommend new and improved methods to enhance the service level
- Ensure all security requirements and procedures and all Hazardous Material requirements and procedures are met and adhered to
- Create and maintain an environment that promotes positive 2-way communication within the section and fosters teamwork
- Lead motivate and train team leads to empower individuals to meet performance expectations. This includes initial training and specific follow-up training needs as well as on-going communication regarding products, procedures, policies, in-house IT systems and Service Guidelines
- Maintain accountability and accuracy for meeting the deadlines for monthly reports
- Control Cheque and cash requisites for charges payments, such as freight collect and terminal fees in a cost-efficient and effective manner to optimize cashflow
- Answer, investigate, resolve and monitor all billing issues and invoicing inquiries; timely escalation of problems to the Section Manager for Seafreight Export for if necessary.
- Any other reports or analysis required by Finance/Management, ie. Negative Closing
- Liaise with Finance to manage all day-to-day financial transaction involving cheques or cash transaction for carriers, consolidated shipments & endorsement fees, and Staff operating expenses
- Assess CW1 activities closures for exceptions cases.
- Ensure that the team achieved target set for files billing and closing
- Promote, always present and adhere to DSV’s professionalism and policies
- Any other job-related tasks as assigned by the superior.
