- The Commissioning Engineer will report directly to Commissioning Manager and the Energy Team in carrying out the following work and responsibilities. He/ She will manage the design and installation of the marine electronics and communications equipment/services onboard shipping vessels, not limited to locally, offshore and overseas.- Liaise with implementation/ assembly/ design/ testing with system or/ and project Engineers.
- Carry out installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, but not limited to Navigation, IT, Scada, Communication system and equipment in workshop assembly and onsite.
- Review, create and carry out Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test with client.
- Make necessary improvements and offer advice about operational procedures.
- Ensure that equipment works to its specifications. Investigate problems and diagnose and repair faults, if any.
- Provide timely and accurate reports, documentation, timesheets, service reports as per company/ client format for submission and reporting.
- Able to attend client meetings, answer queries, and/ or provide technical support and trainings to external customers.
- Support/ Provide trainings to internal staff who are new and fresh.
- Assist Service Department on the queries received, if required.
- Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

**Job Requirement**
- Good time management with the ability to handle and meet tight project deadlines.
- Good vendor management skills, excellent communication skills.
- Able to ensure a safe working environment for fellow colleagues.
- Conversant with international codes and standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, LLYODS, and ABS. An understanding and working knowledge of the ATEX/ IEC Ex Directives, and the installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
- This role will engage with a wide range of cultures, languages, and hierarchies. Therefore, being confident with clear interpersonal skills is an added advantage.
- Able to travel in short notice.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends and public holidays.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Telecommunication system in marine, shipyard, offshore is preferred.
- Job Title and Grade will commensurate with experience.
