The Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group is a major international distributor and stockist of steel pipes, fittings and flanges. Its offices can be found throughout Europe, the Middle East, North America, South-East Asia, China and Australia.

From our regional head office in Singapore and affiliated companies in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China and Middle East, we service a wide range of customers in the oil & gas, (petro-)chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, (renewable) powergen and offshore/marine and construction industries.

Due to growth of our business in the region, there currently exists an excellent opportunity for a:
**Commercial Trainee**

During your two-year traineeship you will participate in an intensive learning program focused on your personal and professional development for a successful career at Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group. You will participate in multiple (internal) training programs and you will get a personal coach who will guide you through the traineeship.

You will work at different (commercial) departments in our organization in Singapore. You will gain hands-on sales experience and get a chance to contribute to the company’s commercial targets. You could be involved with the acquisition of a large project, execution of one of our frame agreements or expediting the deliveries of multiple overseas partner suppliers.

For a subsequent role, we will take into consideration your development during the traineeship, your personal preferences and your level of ambition. We will ensure you will receive sufficient “challenge” in order to maximize your personal and professional development during your traineeship.

After a successful traineeship you will be offered a permanent position at our company.

**Requirement**:

- Diploma or Degree in Business / Commerce / Engineering.
- 2-3 years experience in commercial sales would be an advantage
- Creative problem solver and entrepreneurial thinker.
- Proven interest in international trade coupled with a drive for success and continuous improvement.
- You combine practical understanding with strong business acumen and good analytical and conceptual skills.
- Your communication is clear and concise, including appropriate adaption to cultural diversity.
- You are looking for an international career both now and in the years to come. You are flexible regarding overseas assignments.
- You are fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Any additional languages - (e.g.: Chinese, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Arabic) is preferred.
