Associate Scientist

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist establishment of Drug Substance process development, support and troubleshoot biologics commercial upstream / downstream manufacturing processes
- Plan, design, execute and interpretation of lab experiments to support plant operations, troubleshooting, process mapping, process transfer, process improvements and/or the evaluation of novel technologies
- Evaluate and execute new methods and technologies as required
- Provide technical support (manufacturing data trending, process risk assessments etc.), strategizing and contributing to process validation activities and providing technical expertise to support regulatory submissions
- Responsible for upstream/downstream activities such as laboratory scale studies
- Work with multiple stakeholders and involve extensive interaction with manufacturing, quality, cell culture/purification process development and CMC/Regulatory Affairs groups
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by manager
**About You**:
- BSc/Diploma in Chemical, Biochemical Engineering or relevant fields with 1-5 years of relevant upstream/downstream biologics experience.
- Basic understanding of upstream/downstream processing, process scale-up and statistical methods is a must.
- Hands-on experience working in the lab, handling of downstream methods, assays; to support the routine responsibilities with solid scientific data is desirable.
- Very good knowledge of reporting, interpretation, and documentation of scientific results
- Excellent communication skills with strong command of English, written and spoken
- Able to work effectively in teams, communicate technical concepts clearly and independently motivated.
- Based in Tuas, Singapore
