Cloud Infra Engineer (System) Job Description
Objectives/Purpose of the Job
Be part of a Cloud Operations team to optimize the capability, scalability, availability and security of the
Cloud platforms to meet customers’ requirements. Incorporate continuous improvement process in
operations through constant monitoring, reporting, evaluating and improving the operation metrics.

Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
1. As part of a team of cloud infrastructure engineers to ensure smooth operations that conformedwith
the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and within the budgeted capital and operational
expenses.
2. To establish ITSM standards, processes and guidelines that are in line with industry standards and
best practices
3. To assess and incorporate the ITIL standards into Private Managed Cloud platforms to align withthe
industry best practices.
4. To operate and manage the cloud technologies that incorporates a full spectrum of products,tools,
self-service portals and automation.
5. To deliver the services to customers in accordance to the tender specifications and proposed
solutions.

Job Descriptions (Job goals / Job competencies / skills)
1. At least 6-8 years of IT operations management experience, especially in the area of infrastructure
management and cloud operations with at least four hundred (400) VMs.
2. ITIL Foundation certified, familiar with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
3. 8x5 but need to be on standby for 7x24 support. Expected to work during off-peak hours on system
activities
4. In-depth understanding of Hyper Converged Infrastructure architectures.
5. Strong experience in hypervisor, software defined network, software defined storage, cloud
orchestration and automation, NGFW, storage and backup.
6. Proficient in leading integrated process teams, as well as coordinating and communicating
customer requirements
7. Understanding of orchestration and automation methodologies pertaining to the specific needs of
service provider environments.
Technical Skill Sets
1. Server/Virtualization
a. Server OS: Windows, RedHat Linux, CentOS Linux, Solaris
b. Hypervisors: VMWare, HyperV, RHEL KVM
c. Converged Hyper Appliance (e.g. Nutanix, VCE, EMC VXrail, HP Simplivity and etc)
d. Scripting: Unix Shell, Windows Powershell, VBScripts, Java/C scripts, programming
framework
e. Virtualization Technologies : VMware vRealize Automation(VRA), vRealize Orchestrator
(vRO), VMware vRealize Suite
f. System Management skills (e.g. AD, DNS and etc)
g. System Monitoring : Solarwinds, VMware vRealize Operations Manager
h. Cluster technologies - Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Solaris Cluster. Microsoft
Cluster, Veritas Cluster.
2. Storage/Backup
a. Storage: 3PAR, EMC, NetApp, Dell
b. SAN Switches: Brocade, MDS
c. Backup technologies: EMC Avamar, Symantec NetBackup, Commvault, Data Domain VTL
3. Middleware
a. Web Technologies: Oracle Web Tier (HTTP), IIS, Apache
b. Apps Server: Oracle Weblogic
c. Databases: SQL, Oracle
d. Web Proxy Service
4. Operational Support
a. ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
b. Security management CA
c. Monitoring tools such as VMware vRealize Operations Manager, Solarwinds, WhatsUp
Gold.

**Qualifications**:
1. Diploma/Bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.
2. Minimum 6-8 year experiences in infrastructure management and cloud operations
3. ITIL v3 Foundation Certification - Mandatory
4. VMware Certification
- Cloud (VCP 6.5) - Mandatory
5. OS Certification: MCSE (Windows 2012 and above) - Mandatory
6. OS Certification: Red Hat Certified Engineer RHCE v6.x and above, - Mandatory
7. OS Certification: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
