Integrated Circuit Designer

**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge of transistor level design and fundamentals such as feedback loop theory and noise analysis
- Experience and knowledge of design and validation of high-speed DACs, ADC architectures, e.g., continuous-time sigma-delta ADCs or SAR ADCs, and DACs
- Solid understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuit blocks including baseband filters, bandgap references, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, Op Amps, comparators, and switched-cap circuits
- Deep knowledge of analog/mixed-signal concepts such as mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal IC development from definition to production including layout supervision, lab evaluation and characterization
- Experience in silicon characterization and debugging of mixed-signal circuits, including experience with lab equipment, and data analysis.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python is a plus
- Design experience in FinFet CMOS technology is a plus
- Experience with Verilog-A/AMS behavioral modeling is a plus
- Performs any combination of following tasks to repair defective printed circuit board assemblies, using soldering and DE soldering equipment.
- Examines PCBs under magnifying lamp and reads inspection tags to locate defects, such as insufficient or excess solder and missing or defective components and parts.
- Solders or re-solders missed, or defective connections, joints, wiring, and terminals found to be defective or missing after original soldering process.
- Removes excess solder from connections and clears solder from component holes, using DE soldering equipment.
- Repositions misaligned components, such as resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits, and removes and replaces damaged or missing components.
- Trims long leads replaces eyelets and rivets, and repairs damaged substrate, using hand tools and power tools.
- Modifies PCB's following shop instructions, using hand tools and soldering equipment.
- Tests soldered connections on PCBs to detect open circuits or shorts, using continuity tester.
- Test various circuit board chassis to comply with customers specifications
- Make repairs down to component level on circuit boards, Adjust and calibrations to circuit boards
- Modifies functions of circuit boards to conform to specific requirements
- Sets up standard test apparatus or test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of circuit boards
- Analysis and interprets test data, Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry, components, and records effects on unit performance
- Complete paperwork associated with testing and troubleshooting
- Fabricated cables for use with test equipment and circuit boards as needed
- Determine faulty components, recommends replacements, and repairs as appropriate.
- Perform equipment and component cleaning, regularly scheduled maintenance services and equipment calibration. Perform equipment set-up as needed.
- Complete documentation itemizing services and updates related logs, e.g., inventory, environmental.
- Work is performed independently under mínimal supervision, except for new assignments.
- Independent judgment is used to determine best approach and sound reasoning is expected to achieve maximum results.
- Often exchanges information with colleagues or work groups required to perform role.
- Errors may result in moderate loss of time, resources, and customer/user satisfaction.

**Soft Skill Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot down to component level
- Have strong skills with volt meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies and signal generators
- Strong electronics background especially in the Radio Frequency and digital electronics field
- Read electronics schematics, Good deductive reasoning ability for troubleshooting.
- Demonstrates ability to be mechanically inclined with soldering skills
- Willing to be open minded and to perform all tasks that are needed
- Background in radio communication a plus, to use mechanical tools in the fabrication and assembly of chassis
- Temperature of the work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining
- Ability to lift, transport and assembly parts, Ability to sit for duration of shift
- Ability to work under a microscope for long periods
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a related position.
- Advanced knowledge, skills in electronic fundamentals and Boolean mathematics.
- Ability to read and amend schematics and blueprints to perform the repair function.
- Troubleshoots electronics devices at component level and resolves integration and configuration problems involving circuit analysis, wave form calculations, fault isolation, programmable components programming and signal flow tracing.
