**JOB SUMMARY**

Under the direction of Engineering Manager, the Product Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and product life cycle management of the product he/she is assigned to. Responsibilities include BOM update, ECN implementation and conduct qualification to the product on new product, materials, parts when necessary. Drive failure root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action plan and implement permanent solution to achieve organization and customer goal.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure all product quality, process quality & system quality conform to customer spec and internal system requirements
- Liaise with customer on quality for internal/external corrective actions, NCs, RMA and SCAR issues including periodic reviews
- Track and monitor for any systematic failures.
- Lead team to perform failure analysis for root cause investigation and trouble shoot issues and drive to implement permanent solutions
- Proactively initiate and engage in product redesign/re-engineering opportunity for improving product design and quality.
- Evaluate and perform first level failure analysis on customer returned units
- BOM preparation and management, create Engineering documentations including changes to 2D & 3D drawings required for the development and manufacturing of products spelled out in standard procedures.
- Change management (Deviation, SCN, Control run / Evaluation)
- Study and improve production yield (cost and quality) through continuous design and process improvements.
- Lead in cost reduction activities through Engineering / design change.
- Lead in Engineering evaluation on design solution / improvement for effectiveness.
- Enable product critical performance parameters monitoring with Cp/Cpk analysis

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge in BOM structure management and product life cycle management.
- At least 5 years experience working in Mechanical Engineering environment.
