Accountant

Responsible for general accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger.
- Performs financial analysis of department’s chart of accounts and financial statements by identifying and analyzing variances.
- Analyzes, records and reports accounting transactions in a timely manner.
- Prepares general ledgers entries and account reconciliations.
- Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
- Supports the development, testing and delivery of finance systems improvement initiatives.
- Working with end users to test new finance system solutions, in developing customized reports and ad hoc analysis.
- Partnering with Finance System team members, IT and project management teams to develop, test and deliver finance systems solutions. Supports training of new end-users.
**Qualification**:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Possesses general accounting skills, familiar with financial regulations, internal and external audits, financial analysis.
- Experienced in statutory matters such as audits and tax compliance.
- Ability to supports the development, testing and delivery of finance systems improvement initiatives.
