As a member of the Group IT Architecture Team, you will be responsible for solutioning, design and execution of solutions with guaranteed fit-for-use, scalability, consistency, rationalisation, optimisation and continuation while maintaining the IT architecture directives and standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver position papers to decide between several Architecture options.
- Carry out regular technology scans and propose solutions on technology innovations
- Develop broad knowledge about current “AS-IS” and to deliver future “TO- BE” product features.
- Ensure compliance to solution design and updates/changes as required
- Create and maintain design artefact documents for the platforms/solutions implemented
- Create business case and implementation plan for design initiatives, get stakeholders buy-in
- Work with Project and Product Managers in the planning and execution of projects and product releases
- Work with product teams in the solution engineering efforts.
- Assist technical team with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems knowledge.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES**

**Professional Background**:

- 10+ years of working experience as an IT professional, with proven experience preferred in Application Architecture and solution design frameworks.
- 5+ years technical lead role in one or more of enterprise solutions, Application, Integration architecture, data architecture and design
- Azure and TOGAF certification preferable
- Experience in driving IT architecture directives and governance of standards
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and leading offshore outsourced development and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Science

**Technical Skills**
- Resourceful in architecture design frameworks and implementation (including code)
- Wide knowledge and hands on experience in (preferred hands-on in Open Source Technologies):

- Azure Cloud Application Development and Microsoft365 enterprise deployments
- Application Development Technologies like: Java Standard Edition(s), Java Enterprise Edition(s), C#/ASP,.NET, Spring Framework, Angular, Node.js, WSO2, Tomcat, Jetty, Websphere Application Servers
- Database Technologies like: IBM DB2, MS SQL Server, MySQL
- DevOps like: Azure DevOps, Jenkins
- Source code management: Git, SVN, SonarQube
- Experience on Microsoft Azure cloud Application architecture is advantages
- Architecture & Design modelling (e.g. UML, BPMN, ERD, etc.), with architecture modelling tools

**Business Skills**
- Actively tracks emerging technologies and evaluates their applicability to business goals and requirements

- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment with budgets and schedules
- Ability to independently reach out as a peer, mentor & coach as appropriate across the organization
- Knowledge of enterprise-scale SDLCs and Agile Methodologies
- Be able to work in a global and multi-cultural environment
- Ability to supervise, multi-task, meet deadlines and work independently as well as under pressure.
- Able and willing to travel globally (approximately 25%)
