**Role Overview**:
As a Senior Analyst on the Editorial team, you will play a critical role in shaping CoinDesk's coverage of the cryptocurrency markets. You will utilize various forms of analysis, including technical analysis and macroeconomic perspectives, to identify key trends and make informed forecasts. Your insights will not only inform our audience but also help steer our overall coverage strategy. You will have the opportunity to write compelling stories and provide strategic guidance to our team of analysts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth analyses of key trends in the cryptocurrency markets using techniques such as technical analysis and macroeconomic evaluation.
- Collaborate with editorial leadership to shape and refine the coverage strategy for our team of analysts, ensuring alignment with CoinDesk’s mission and objectives.
- Serve as a thought leader within the crypto community, sharing your strong views on markets and contributing to discussions that drive industry insights.
- Write the intro essay to the Americas daybook several times a week.As schedules permit, appear on CoinDesk's internal and external platforms, including podcasts and live events, to share your expertise and represent the CoinDesk brand.

**What you need**:

- 5+ years of experience in crypto analysis, with a proven track record of utilizing various analytical methods to understand and forecast market trends.
- Deep understanding of how cryptocurrency markets function, coupled with strong, informed views on market dynamics.
- Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into engaging and accessible content for a broad audience.
- Strategic mindset, capable of guiding coverage strategies and enhancing the analytical capabilities of the editorial team.
