Independently perform all aspects of instrument design, including both 2D and 3D design work (hands-on execution required).
- Take full ownership and accountability for all assigned instrument design activities.
- Proficient in 3D modelling of instruments, equipment, supports, cable trays, and cable routing using AVEVA E3D/S3D software, including model setup and clash resolution.
- Competent in extracting various drawings and documents from 3D models, such as equipment layouts, antenna general arrangements, MTOs, and cable schedules.
- Conduct and participate in 3D model reviews, focusing on instrumentation and interface coordination.
- Develop detailed 2D drawings, including schematic diagrams, block diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable routing layouts, and installation details.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation such as cable schedules, equipment lists, and other associated deliverables.
- Generate material take-offs (MTOs) for instrument-related materials, including cables, cable glands, junction boxes, installation hardware, hooks, and support systems.
- Address and resolve design-related queries and review comments and propose practical and timely solutions.
- Compile instrument weight reports and ensure accuracy for engineering and construction planning.Coordinate with and provide input to other disciplines on interfaces involving cable trays, MCTs (multi-cable transits), trimmers, and other installation components.

**Job Requirements**
- Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical and Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 15 years of hands-on experiencein instrumentation design engineering within the offshore oil & gas industry, covering both greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in instrumentation systems, including strong technical knowledge of field instrumentation, control system interfaces, and industry design practices.
- Proven capability to execute and lead detailed design activities independently, including preparation of instrument layouts, cable routing, and installation drawings.
- Effective cross-disciplinary collaboration skills, with experience in coordinating with process, electrical, mechanical, and structural and other teams, as well as engaging with clients, vendors, and fabricators.
- Advanced proficiency in 3D modelling and design tools, including AVEVA E3D, PDMS, and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) for the development and review of instrument layouts and cable routing.
- Proficient in 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD and MicroStationfor preparation and review of instrumentation drawings and diagrams.
- Prior experience conducting site surveys and incorporating field modifications into as-built documentation is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., IEC, API, ISA) will be advantageous.
