a) Act as an environmental advisory to the Supervising Officer (SO).

b) Conduct regular (bi-weekly) environmental site inspections, including random checks.

c) Perform environmental performance audits, both scheduled and unscheduled.

d) Review environmental monitoring and management protocols to ensure accuracy.

e) Oversee the implementation of environmental protection measures and recommend improvements.

f) Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions taken by the Contractor.

g) Review environmental incidents, complaints, and monitoring data.

h) Conduct visual worksite inspections to examine working practices, mitigation measures, and monitoring activities.

i) Liaise with relevant statutory authorities for environmental compliance.

j) Prepare contingency reports and recommend remedial actions in case of environmental issues.

k) Maintain documentation, including audit logs, environmental registers, and reports for SO and Contractor reference.
- Minimum ECO certification or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in environmental monitoring, auditing, and management for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of biodiversity impact assessment and environmental impact assessment processes.
- Familiarity with local and international environmental standards and regulations.
- Ability to conduct independent assessments and audits in a professional manner.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills to coordinate with contractors, SO, and regulatory authorities.
- Ability to analyze environmental data, prepare inspection reports, and suggest corrective actions.
