Cybersecurity Awareness and Education Specialist

This role will be responsible for our Cyber Security Awareness Program with the objective of effectively raising awareness and to educate employees and contractors on cybersecurity best practices, threats and how to defend against them.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage and deliver innovative, gamified and impactful cybersecurity awareness and education program to cultivate a culture of cybersecurity awareness within an organization.
Assess, plan, develop and maintain the entire information security education and awareness yearly programme.
Provide simple, practical and up-to-date cybersecurity information and advisories.
Develop targeted awareness campaigns and content for specific high-risk audiences.
Engage employees and contractors on a timely basis through the delivery of security awareness and education activities, initiatives and content through insightful physical and digital content delivered through various communications channels.
Incorporate security awareness into physical sessions and virtual learning, including new hire orientation, new manager training, and other events.
Monitor and identify the top human risks to our organization and the behaviours needed to change to mitigate those cyber risks.
Incorporating feedback and learnings from incidents into updated training and awareness programs.
Continuously assess and understand the employees and contractors’ susceptibility to cyber threats and design awareness programs to address them.
Conduct monthly phishing tests and report results for management attention, including retraining for phishing tests failures.
Develop metrics and regularly track, monitor, and report the effectiveness of the awareness programmes.
**Requirements**:
Degree in IT/Mass Communications/Business from a recognized education institution
Related professional qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory technical skills
Experience in driving cultural change and understanding human behaviours and motivations to design security awareness and education programs and incentivization schemes
Good understanding of security controls and their purpose in the overall protection against security risks for the organization
Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to effectively translate and present security in simple to understand business or management terms.
Able to work independently and initiate and successfully drive programs and projects to completion with mínimal supervision.
