Zero-Error Systems (ZES) is hiring a Hardware Engineer (Embedded Systems/ICs) in Singapore. The hardware engineer will support the ZES product roadmap and customer projects with the following job objectives: product development, hardware-software co-design, embedded system installation and testing.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and implement a system (or a modular design) using hardware components including COTS modules, microprocessors, memories, analog circuits, sensors, etc.
- Setup/configure communication ports (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, DDR, eMMC, PCIe, etc.) for data acquisition using microcontroller and/or FPGA
- Analyze system data and system performance in order to make suitable hardware configurations
- Support functional and reliability tests to ensure functional safety and performance of the embedded systems
- Support digital IC design team for designing customized ICs
- Generate and maintain the necessary documents
- Work with the team lead to deliver hardware products and to perform verifications.
- Support the team lead for product development.
- Support test engineers during product qualification process.

Minimum Requirements
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferably in electrical/electronic engineering or computer engineering
- Have at least 2 years of working experience in the related field
- Experience in hardware development for embedded systems (e.g., PCB, microcontroller, flash/DDR memories, high-rel design methodology)
- Experience in various hardware communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, DDR, eMMC, PCIe, etc.)
- Knowledge of hardware design and integration (e.g., using platforms from Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Nvidia, Xilinx, ARM, etc.)
- Knowledge of hardware programming language in Verilog/VHDL, etc.
- Knowledge of digital IC design flow/methodology
- Knowledge in quality/qualification workflows, including verification, validation, and reliability testing
- Knowledge of hardware/software functional safety standard (e.g., IEC 61508) is a plus
- Knowledge of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence platform is a plus
- Is a good team player that can work well in a team to solve problems to deliver solutions to meet market needs

Hardware-software co-design - Together with the team, successful testing and validation of ZES products to meet the overall product specifications

Embedded system installation and testing - Together with the team, successfully deployment of ZES products and the associated testing/troubleshooting
