We are looking for an experienced individual to perform the role of Quality Control Engineer in the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Maintenance, this person will be responsible for oversight safety & quality control related matters and to lead investigations relating to the Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) operations.
**Other Key responsibilities of this role are**:
- Perform and review aircraft maintenance documentation for compliance to regulatory requirements & established procedures
- Assist E&M on airworthiness queries relating to receipt inspection of purchased and repaired parts
- Coordinate and conduct E&M internal and external audits using CAAS, IOSA, CAMS & Lease requirements as audit standards
- Investigate E&M safety/quality related issues & make recommendations for corrective action and improvements
- Work with E&M and SSQA to provide safety/quality concerns to service provider’s products & services
- Maintain E&M controlled manuals in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate & monitor the equipment calibration for the SAR145 Maintenance Organization.
- Assist in the writing and updating of E&M procedures, forms, manuals and checklists
- Safety and Quality representative for E&M Dept
- Undertaking any relevant duties as required by the Head of E&M
**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience**:
- At least a min. of diploma/bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience preferably in the aerospace industry
- Auditing experience or qualification is advantageous.
- Familiar with airworthiness legislation and IOSA requirements
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Good team player, hands-on, meticulous and able to work under pressure
