***ROLE SUMMARY & PROFILE**

**Overview**

Lead the Structured Export Finance team in Singapore responsible for business development and origination of SEF transactions with Asian borrowers via active marketing to ING clients and target clients of the SEF product offering, in close cooperation with SEF Global platform, Global Network, Country Management and Sector teams. As part of the Global SEF Platform contribute to ING’s impact as a leading Export Finance bank in the global ECA markets.

The position involves frequent contact with clients, prospects, banks, technical and legal advisors as well as cooperation with internal functions such as Credit Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Sustainable Finance and Distribution.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. **Origination** and Business Development, Relationship Management**
- _Further grow the Global SEF Global franchise and the APAC client/Sector franchise by means of active _Marketing of ING (SEF) capabilities to clients in designated APAC markets and the origination of new transaction opportunities
- Advising clients, developing deal structures, preparing, and negotiating financing proposals to win ECA mandates (single and / or multi sourced)
- Closely co-operate with the Global SEF teams, sector teams in Asia, regional and in-country relationship management
- Establish and deepen the relationships with regional players and counterparties (i.e., Importers / Borrowers, Suppliers, ECAs, Multilaterals, banks, lawyers, and consultants)
- Identify and monitor important market developments in the APAC region
- _Represent SEF and ING internally as well as externally (conferences, bankers’ meetings etc.)_
**2. Structuring and execution of Export Finance mandates**
- Be part of the team advising clients, developing deal structures, preparing, and negotiating financing proposals to close ECA mandates (single and / or multi sourced)
- Work with the respective SEF teams in the other hubs towards a smooth and timely execution of export finance mandates (i.e. credit process, documentation, ECA approval etc.)

**3.** **Risk and Portfolio Management**
- Monitoring and managing risks in line with ING (internal) requirements
**4. Managerial / People
**- Manage the team, which includes the development of individual team members e.g., coaching, training and development and various HR initiatives.
- Assess headcount, ensuring that team members have the resources needed to meet goals.
- Develop goals direct reports, provide mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
- Manage annual compensation process for the team

- Preferably a master’s degree in economics, engineering, law
- Approx. 7 - 12 years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (verbal and in writing) is a must.
- An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of self-motivation
- Preparedness to travel across the region as well as, occasionally, work outside standard hours when required due to interacting with different time zones
