LAI Games is an arcade experience company that connects people with games. An exciting new component of our arcade experience ecosystem is Arcade Legend - a Virtual Reality game launching on Steam and the official Quest store. Combined with a range of physical arcade games, VR experiences, and other exciting arcade-based titles in development, our team members have the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of unique and innovative projects that engage and delight players across physical and virtual worlds.

Your mission is to help forge the art pipeline, using your breadth of skill and experience to work between art and engineering to help us bring this game to life. Your role is rewarding and varied; your domain extends anywhere from modeling tools, to rendering improvements. Our team looks to you to solve hard problems using knowledge, creativity, and teamwork, ensuring that we hit performance while maintaining high visual quality.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Comprehensive experience with Unity 3D
- Deep understanding of runtime performance and how to scale and optimize visuals for different platforms from low-end to high-end hardware
- Thorough knowledge of particles, VFX pipelines, and shader processes used in game development
- Experience with real-time and baked lighting in Unity 3D
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- A minimum of 3 years experience in technical art in the games industry
- Passion for playing and making games

**Nice to have experience, non-mandatory**:

- Experience developing games for VR
- Experience creating 3D assets
- Familiarity with 3D rendering principles and/or shader authoring
- Familiarity with animation rigging toolsets and workflows
- Experience with Substance Designer and Painter

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
