To provide research management and business development support to the Director, Centre for Population Health Sciences and WHO Collaborating Centre for Digital Health and Health Education (collectively termed as Centre). S/he will report to the Centre Director functionally on a daily basis and be responsible to coordinate and manage daily operational & administrative matters within the programme. S/he will work closely and be the point of contact for the CEPHAS with the school’s department of research administration and support services.- Be responsible for management of grant and industry projects including budgeting, recruitment of manpower and deliverables, engaging collaborators to negotiate research agreements and developing business plans for sustainability of the Centre.-
- To coordinate and liaise with academic, industry collaborators and multidisciplinary expertise from eLearning, technology, simulation, evidence synthesis and global health in Singapore and Internationally. To prepare and manage all administrative materials, including licenses, contracts, procurement etc., related to the aforementioned areas.
- Typical decisions in the course of the job include the following:
- To translate opportunities for collaboration and technology development into research collaboration and contract service agreements through effective negotiation with partners on resource contribution, data and IP ownership in timely fashion.-
- Effective management of manpower planning and annual budget utilization of Centre and projects within Centre-
- Effective navigation of recruitment, procurement and budgeting processes with research administration and relevant offices in NTU/LKC-
- To realize sustainability plan by pursing revenue streams to the Centre.- Requirements:
- A good bachelor or Masters degree-
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in healthcare sector. Experience in project/programme contracts or grant management will be an advantage.-
- Excellent working knowledge of the healthcare research landscape.-
- Team player and should be able to work individually as well-
- Resourceful, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop new ideas and provide conceptual solutions;-
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communications skills;-
- Passion for, and commitment to, biomedical sciences and Population Health researchHiring Institution: LKC
