Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview / Responsibilities:
1.0 RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROJECT ACTIVITIES

1.1 Carry out electrical system studies.

1.2 Prepare electrical job specifications and datasheets under guidance by Senior/Principal/Chief Electrical Engineer.

1.3 Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, codes and standards.

1.4 Perform activities such as - issue of material requisitions and technical bid evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices.

1.5 Review Vendor drawings and documentation as per relevant Technical Practices.

1.6 Follow the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Client or Third Party.

1.7 Ensure project filing is maintained as per Quality Procedures.

1.8 Liaise with other groups as necessary.

1.9 Ensure timely production of deliverables.

1.10 Populate CMMS database.

1.11 Carry out proper closeout of all project related work.

1.12 Keep Lead Engineer informed about matters related to the following:

- Any major issue (design, schedule or manpower) the causes and proposed corrective action.
- Any unresolved difference with other Groups.
- Any request for changes by the Client which may constitute a contract change.

1.13 Attend internal FW and Vendor co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings as required in order to establish full understanding of scope of supply and all FW/Vendor interfaces.

1.14 Ensure high quality of work within the established/assigned man-hour budgets and schedule targets.

1.15 Update lesson learned database regularly.

1.16 Participate in 3D model review (Internal & External) and take necessary action as per the model review report to-gether with Lead Electrical Designer.

1.17 Preparation of sub-contract requisition along with its attachments such as MTO/BOQ and list of documents that are required by sub-contractor.

1.18 Support lead engineer in providing key quantities at various stages of project.

1.19 To be part of field engineering team as per project need.

2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NON-PROJECT RELATED WORK

2.1 Update corporate engineering specifications.

2.2 Populate discipline electrical database.

2.3 Suggest new software, books and standards.

2.4 Assist when required in preparation of proposals and in presentations to prospective clients.

2.5 If He/She possess expert knowledge on PC based electrical program, then in co-ordination with Section head, training shall be conducted for other staff members.

Skills / Qualifications:
1.1 Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-15 years of experience in Refinery/ Petrochemical/Chemical/Power/Pharmaceutical Plant Projects.

1.2 Knowledge of electrical power systems,conversant with Local and international codes & standards and Industry accepted electrical engineering softwares

1.3 Working experience on Industry accepted electrical engineering software’s such as ETAP, SKM for electrical system studies/calculations is must.

1.4 Working experience on Smart plant electrical is an added advantage.

1.5 Self motivated, self-reliant, energizetic, taking proactive measure etc. are desired.

1.6 Able to lead, motivate & guide team comprising Engineers, designer & drafters.
