 
						Suspicious Transaction Reporting Officer

**Role and Responsibilities**:
Reports to the Head of Compliance. Responsible for compliance function (AML/CFT) within the Group. Ensure that business complies with AML/CFT obligations and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop regulatory governance frameworks, EWRA framework, policies and procedures in compliance with MAS regulations and guidelines;
- Perform onboarding and ongoing AML/CFT review, assessments, testing and monitoring on client accounts including transaction monitoring, name screening, enhanced due diligence etc;
- Perform and conduct risk assessments, EWRA assessments etc;
- Act as advisory to AML Compliance Committee;
- Execute compliance plan and lead ongoing compliance review;
- Review internal controls, and preparation and reporting to management;
- Conduct internal STR investigation and prepare the report and logs for submission;
- Facilitate and address any MAS queries, liaise with internal and external auditors to complete audits and timely implementation of recommendations;
- Review and revise business agreements and marketing materials to ensure compliance with regulations;
- Keep abreast with current and emerging risks, regulatory guidelines, and industry practices;
- Conduct regular AML compliance training;
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Compliance.
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:
- University degree holder in business, law, finance, IT, audit or relevant disciplines;
- Possess recognised compliance certification such as CAMS is a plus;
- At least 5 years of solid finance experience in financial institutions with AML and general compliance exposure;
- Possess sound knowledge and/or working experience in MAS regulations, Securities & Futures Act, transaction monitoring, outsourcing guidelines, AML/KYC and enterprise-wide risk assessment.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Proactive, objective and possess an aptitude of risks and controls, auditing experience;
- Self-starter, good interpersonal and strong communication skills with a positive attitude;
- Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, able to understand and write (required to liaise with Chinese and English-speaking counterparts);
- Able to take ownership, work independently and yet a good team player, embrace a collaborative and open working culture;
- Ability to demonstrate integrity, courage, and sound judgement;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment;
