**Roles & Responsibilities**

You will participate in an exciting role to help transform agriculture operations and processes, to increase productivity and efficiency.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the design and automation framework - from design, implementation, execution, and testing to deliver the highest quality product.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Interact with the Business Development team, Farm Operations team, and stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the product and testing objectives.

2. Participate in design review and ensure that design requirements are testable and automa-table.

3. Design, implement and maintain scalable test framework for various functional and non-functional stage of the product development life cycle.

4. Develop detailed, reliable and efficient designs, full set of engineering drawings and blueprints for mechanical equipment and controls to perform agriculture automation.

5. Initiate prototyping, produce bill of materials and co-ordinate with vendors to obtain competitive quotations.

6. Correct design drawing deficiencies and draft technical details

7. Document and report the results of testing in design / technical reviews and serve as technical expert on automation and product testing.

8. Work closely with vendors on design proposals, specifications, and to evaluate the feasibility and cost of production of automated equipment.

9. Render continuous support for fabrication and commissioning of new product, including safety sign-off and production set-up.

10. Act as technical resource, work closely with business development team and support customers as required.

11. Communicate critical issues and updates in a timely manner, and prepare reports for management to review design and manufacture of product.

**SKILLS**:
1. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

2. Has strong concept ability, able to identify complex problems, develop, and evaluate options and implement solutions.

3. Knowledge of relative costs and benefits of potential proposals and actions, and ability in parts calculation and selection.

4. Must have knowledge of processors, chips, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including programming.

5. Preferably experienced in designing industrial automation equipment, product assembly and test fixtures.

6. Have customer empathy, giving full attention to what other people are saying and working effectively with them.

7. Ability to work on multiple projects, individually or in teams at fast pace and under pressure.

8. Proficiency in English is a must and ability to speak Mandarin with vendors is an added advantage.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in precision engineering, equipment and automation design.
- Proficiency in producing 3D CAD Drawings

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $4,500.00 - $5,500.00 per month
