**Job Summary**

The Plant Controller is responsible for plant **controlling and cost accounting **for **Encapsys Plant **in **Singapore **. During Plant construction period ( **first 18 months **), the position is, mainly responsible for **project controlling, **fixed assets accounting **, and ensuring the appropriate controls in place and work effectively. The position serves as a **key member **in the **plant management **team driving the **achievement of plant’s operations target **.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
**(1) **Project Controlling**
- Coordinate the development and implementation of project **Work Breakdown Structures **(WBS) in conjunction with project execution plans.
- **Track actual expenditures **against budget.
- Work with project manager(s) how many? managing project budget, updating forecast, analyzing deviations, and developing corrective actions.
- Work with project managers to ensure the adequate **internal controls **in place during the entire project phase. Ensure **company’s assets **are appropriately secured.
- Adjust **finance related plans **and highlight **cost impact **based on Construction Progress Report

**(2) **Fixed Assets Accounting**
- Ensure fixed assets accounting for new manufacturing plant comply with **GAAPs, local regulations **, and company’s accounting policies
- Liaise with the government for the subsidies (if any) relating to project and ensure its appropriate accounting.

**(3) **Product costing**
- Set and maintain standard cost
- Ensure appropriate **cost and inventory accounting. **Responsible for plant **month-end/period-end activities.
**(4) **Plant Controlling**
- Work close with management team to identify **root cause **for unusual movement in cost variances and drive the improvements.
- Identify the driving factors of **product costs **and look for opportunities to **reduce product costs and increase efficiency.**
- Identify **operations efficiency **improvement opportunities and drive the implementations
- Provide monthly cost report vs **budget **by functions/department for Site level review.
- Drive the site to meet or exceed all **annual financial metrics**
- Coordinate **annual budgeting **exercise

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- **More than 10 years **of professional experience in accounting and controlling function, especially in manufacturing space with **minimum 5 years as a Plant Controller **experience
- Experience in product cost analysis

**COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED**
- Ability to design and improve processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Effective communicator with matured mindset
- Excellent MS office skills. Experience working with SAP system is a must.
- Experiences in large-scale capital investment project is preferred
