We are seeking experienced **Semiconductor Engineers**to support the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced silicon photonic integrated circuits (PICs) used in high-speed communication systems. This role involves the full semiconductor engineering lifecycle — from IC layout and process definition to testing and yield optimization — in collaboration with foundries and internal R&D teams.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and develop layouts for photonic and semiconductor integrated circuits based on electronics engineering principles, using industry software (e.g., IPKISS, Lumerical, or similar) to generate design schematics and process-ready diagrams.
- Manage the semiconductor manufacturing process, including coordination with foundries on tape-out, and monitor product technology yield and performance consistency.
- Develop and implement test programs and procedures to validate product performance against defined electrical, optical, and system-level specifications.
- Provide engineering advice on all aspects of semiconductor process technology, including photonic-CMOS integration, process optimization, and fabrication workflows.
- Collaborate with R&D, systems, and packaging teams to refine device architectures and ensure alignment with functional and manufacturing requirements.
- Support PDK creation and maintain photonic/semiconductor libraries to streamline future development.
- Analyze experimental results and iterate designs to achieve production-level quality and yield targets.
- Contribute to the maintenance and troubleshooting of photonic and semiconductor process equipment where required.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Semiconductor Physics, or a related Engineering/Science field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor device design, photonic ICs, or high-speed integrated systems preferred.
- Proficient in using EDA tools (e.g., Lumerical, Sentaurus, Silvaco) for semiconductor and photonic simulations.
- Familiarity with IC layout tools and CMOS-compatible fabrication processes.
- Strong data-driven approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with experience working cross-functionally across engineering and manufacturing teams.
