We are looking for individuals with the right skillset, mindset and heartset to join us on our stage as we perform for our clients to produce content and events that will move people into action.

As the Finance Director you will you will oversee company needs, handle daily business issues, manage company associations, and recognize business opportunities. The role requires communication and negotiations with clients or business associates. In addition, you will continuously work to strategically expand, preserve or improve the company’s procedures, standards or policies while sticking to business edicts and regulatory guidelines.

**To perform effectively as the Finance Director, you will need:
- To partner on the financial wellness of the company.
- To lead financial strategy and operations.
- To identify and track relevant KPIs, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
- To be an independent individual with sound organizational skills, capable of managing an array of initiatives.
- Good attention to detail.
- A strong analytical mindset and business acumen.
- To be persistent and diligent in following through tasks on hand.
- To work well within a team and has strong inter-personal communication skills.
- To be a proactive individual with abundant energy and drive, and a strong desire to succeed, who will commit to the company’s value system.
- To be willing to adapt changes and take up new responsibilities.
- Enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude.
- Strong work ethic to meet tight deadlines and other business commitments.
- Interest in the media industry and takes initiative to continuously learn about new developments.
- Advance in Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Xero accounts systems and google sheets.
- Excellent spoken and written English.

You will also have the following skillset, mindset and heartset.

- have 10+ years of proven experience in finance. Media industry background an advantage.
- have relevant tertiary qualification in accounting/finance
- have had a focus on developing corporate strategy and direction
- have experience and knowledge developing processes and procedures
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Can present financial information to the layman
- have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good communicator

**Measures of success**:
In three months:

- Be conversant with Motions Legal and Finance Structure
- Support budgeting exercise in partnership with stakeholders.
- Oversee day-to-day finance/commercial activities of Motion.
- Good understanding of all necessary control, compliances and key client contracts

In six months:

- Lead the quarterly forecasting processes and generate monthly financial and management reports.
- Design and implement improved business processes
- Partner with Motion’s management team to model growth scenarios

In 12 months:

- Responsible for Motion’s P&L, Balance sheet, Annual Budget/Quarterly/Monthly Forecast
- Joint owner with Motion’s Founder, CEO for overall financial and operational performance
