This position reports to the Director. The Sports Coach trains young swimmers for international competition by developing advanced training programs, refining techniques, and building endurance and speed. **Job Description**:
Individual to be involved in:
1. Design and implement advanced training schedules tailored to the skill levels and goals of young swimmers, focusing on international competition standards.
2. Teach and refine swimming techniques, including stroke mechanics, starts, and turns, to enhance performance and efficiency in the water.
3. Conduct endurance, strength, and speed training sessions to build swimmers’ overall fitness, ensuring they meet the physical demands of competitive swimming.
4. Assess swimmers’ progress through regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and adjust training plans to address areas for improvement.
5. Instill discipline, motivation, and a strong competitive mindset, helping swimmers build resilience and focus under pressure.
6. Ensure a safe training environment by teaching water safety rules, conducting warm-up and cool-down exercises, and monitoring swimmers’ physical and emotional well-being.

Job Requirements

1. Proficiency in evaluating swimmers’ techniques using video analysis and other assessment tools to provide detailed feedback and adjustments.
2. Familiarity with international competition rules, standards, and best practices to adequately prepare swimmers.
3. Ability to create structured, progressive training plans that incorporate endurance, speed, strength, and technical drills tailored for young swimmers.
4. Skills in inspiring and motivating swimmers, fostering a positive and disciplined training environment.
5. Efficiently manages training schedules, competitions, and individual swimmer progress to ensure balanced and effective coaching.
6. Expertise in teaching and correcting various swimming strokes, starts, and turns to optimize performance.
