Singapore MATRIX PROCESS AUTOMATION PTE. LTD. Full time

Coordinate construction activities and liaise with the Host Site EHS team. To plan, organise, direct and control all activities concerning construction safety, occupational health & safety, and fire & loss prevention related to the HBV project in accordance with the requirements of the local EHS legislation, the Corporate EHS policies and standards and any other applicable standards and protocols.

Ensure appropriate method statements, risk assessments are in place ahead of work activities

Ensure coordination meetings are carried out effectively

Contractors’ method statements and risk assessments (incl. lifting plans) aligned with requirements.

Risks are identified and mitigated.

Specific tasks that require close supervision are identified

Existing competence of available personnel for operations (e.g. lifting operations) meets required knowledge, training and experience. This includes clear expectations where training will be required to make up shortfalls between the competence of personnel and that required to carry out the current work

Potential interactions between different activities are identified and any risks mitigated.

Participate in daily prestart workforce safety briefings / toolbox talks, safety meetings

Responsible for safety performed within the project including but not limited to:
monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with environment, health and safety regulations and procedures.

ensure all safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied within assigned area of responsibility (Environment, Health and Safety plan, risk assessment, mitigation measures and safe plan of action).

Implement corporate EHS policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.

Compliance with local regulatory requirements (MOM/NEA)

Ensure accidents, pSIFs are reported and investigated and active investigation participations

Timely closure of CAPAs

Procedures and control measures to meet local regulatory and corporate EHS requirements

Cultivate safety awareness and engagement to reduce accidents and dangerous occurrences.

Conduct EHS training.

Conduct audit.

Technical degree or relevant experience (10 years in construction, of which 5 years as safety advisor/manager)

Experience in construction management of medium and large capital projects
