**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to**:

- Evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of internal control, risk management and governance processes across wide variety of business units, functions and operations
- Applies digital skills in the analysis of large data sets to distill and communicate key findings
- Mentors less experienced auditors in audit tools and techniques
- Regularly performs Engagement Lead role on complex/sensitive audits with significant operations, compliance and financial exposures
- With experience, performs Engagement Manager role on audits of varied degree of complexity
- Facilitates meetings with diverse client representatives, including senior leaders, to explain the audit process, resolve complex audit issues, and confirm understanding of findings presented in the audit report
- Manages the audit team's activities and exercises sound judgment in recommending scope changes to optimize the assurance value of each engagement

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent ideally in Finance or related field
- Professional auditing or financial qualifications are strongly preferred, such as Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in public accounting firm in an assurance or internal control and risk management advisory roles and/or as an internal auditor in a multinational company
- Flexibility to travel and work in remote locations during audits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (especially in English and Mandarin, as the role is required to Liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders) with ability to communicate effectively across functional, cultural and organizational boundaries
- Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (including US GAAP) and auditing standards
- Strong understanding of risks and controls (e.g., SOX) and experience in compliance reviews
- Familiar with core business and finance processes, their inherent risks and relevant controls
- Ability to reveal financial and compliance exposures and highlight effective mitigation options
- Skilled at detecting and addressing potentially systemic issues and drawing simple conclusions and logical recommendations from complex or sensitive issues
- Experienced at designing quantitative and qualitative analyses to draw conclusive and compelling insights with strong data analytics skills
- Ability to engage with auditees at all levels to establish trust, confidence in the team's business knowledge and the value of Audit recommendations

**Relocation Options**:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

**International Considerations**:
Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
