**Job Description**:
The Workshop Engineer is primarily engaged in the maintenance and preparation of equipment at the company’s premises, as well as the mobilization of such equipment for projects and its installation onto vessels regionally. The workshop engineer may also be required to work offshore as an Electronics Technician/Engineer, or as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or the Operations Manager.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To assist and manage day to day Workshop operations.
- Technical & logístical support for ROV projects.
- System integration for specialist projects.
- To upkeep PMS and maintenance data of ROV system.
- To know the designated equipment for which he is responsible.
- To carry out workshop procedures, by ensuring that each item of equipment returned to the company’s premises after a project or hire, is thoroughly tested, before being labelled as checked and stored ready for the next project.
- To utilize and discuss with the Supervisor / Sub Engineer returning from each project, equipment fault reports.
- To have a sufficient understanding of the equipment under his responsibility, to be able to satisfactorily test the equipment’s operation. Specific requirements for training or test equipment are to be advised to the Workshop Supervisor.
- To know which projects are forthcoming and their timing, and to prepare all required equipment within his responsibility, to include: back-up equipment, spares, consumables, power supplies, the fabrication of brackets, tools, manuals, etc.
- To assist in purchasing of spares and consumables for workshop and offshore operations.
- To liaise with the Project Managers and Offshore team on interfacing between equipment prepared for the same project but under a different responsibility.
- As directed by the Project Managers / Operations Manager the workshop engineer will mobilize equipment on the vessel, install it and test it. Once installed and tested, it will be signed for by the ROV Supervisor, Client or Captain, whichever takes over responsibility for the equipment.
- Actively participates in Operations, Quality Assurance and HSE group meetings.
