**Role: Data Engineer**

Salary Range: 7000 - 10000 SGD

**Key Responsibilities**:
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions for large-scale projects and complex change requests.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and participate in code reviews and design discussions.

**Key Requirements**:
Proven experience in building scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using PySpark, Scala, and Java.

Hands-on expertise in Hadoop-based ecosystem and Cloudera CDH/CDP stack, including components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, and Oozie. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, and Spark to process structured and semi-structured data at scale. Deep understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and data mart architectures, and ability to design performant storage and query models. Experience with Spark performance tuning, job optimization, and handling large-scale distributed data processing workloads. Familiarity with batch and real-time data processing and use of cron jobs, Kafka, or similar tools for orchestrating data ingestion. Experience in feature engineering pipelines to operationalize data for AI/ML model consumption.

**Added Advantage (Expanded)**:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl for automation and monitoring of data jobs.

Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration, including services management, cron scheduling, memory/process debugging, and system performance tuning. Experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Nifi, Control-M, or Oozie for workflow management. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and automated deployment strategies for big data and Spark jobs. Exposure to containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying data services. Working knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Cloudera Manager, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Splunk for proactive issue detection. Understanding of data security best practices, including Kerberos, LDAP, TLS encryption, and role-based access control (RBAC).
