**Role Overview**

As a senior video live stream engineer, you will work closely with the video engineering team to develop Coupang Play live video streaming platform and establish the operational excellence for handling live streaming video.

**What You Will Do**
- Develop, improve, automate, and support Coupang Play video transcoding pipeline and video streaming workflow system.
- Building REST API service and event-driven workflow system to interact with video streaming services.
- Plan and set up CDN capacity and video streaming resources and handle graceful service degradation.
- Write technical documents and establish operational excellence.
- To improve engineering excellence for the team and organization.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Able to manage real-time video streaming, live DRM, and live streaming CDN.
- Those who have the ability to use tech stacks such as Go, Java, JavaScript, and Node.js for back-end engineering or have similar experience.
- Strong understanding of video and audio codecs like H.264, HEVC, AV1, AAC, and associated technologies like SCTE-35, HDR, RTMP/SRT, DASH-Widevine, and HLS-Fairplay.
- Strong understanding of native and web video players for online video streaming.
- Able to debug video manifest issues and compatibility issues with video players.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in OTT and live sports operation with contribution monitoring, transcoding and packaging configuration and distribution management.
- Those with OTT engineering experience in video distribution, contribution, and cloud-based video serving.
- Experience with AWS Elemental Media service or similar cloud video media platforms.
- Experience with AWS Well-Architected framework.
- Those who can collaborate with iOS/Android developers to solve video playback problems
