Commodity Manager

**Job Summary**

To lead the Buy/sell teams, and procurement function by working closely with Operations to support operation and business needs across the supply chain consistent with customer service and “lowest cost supplier” objectives.

To ensure customer satisfaction by providing appropriate leadership in the areas of commodities management, costing and RFQ, sourcing and technical expertise to customers(internal/external).

**Responsibilities**:

- Review suppliers’ prices to RFQs and submit most competitive prices.
- Oversee the supplier selection, audit and qualification processes.
- Develop commodity strategies and create and maintain a preferred world-class supplier base.
- Ensure preferred suppliers’ performance exceed the quality, delivery, cost and support requirement.
- Keep abreast of manufacturing technology updates, Industrial benchmark and do cost competitive studies.
- Consolidate Venture World Wide EE requirements, develop cost reduction plans and drive quarterly / yearly supplier price negotiation.
- Performs supplier risk analysis and recommend alternate sources.
- Support new project introduction in price and supplier base for transfer to site.
- Assist in assurance of parts, sites issues in price and supply with selected suppliers.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering/Materials Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ expertise in Electronics/Electrical Supply Base preferred.
- Well-versed in the procurement of EE/EM as well as related vendor base.
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential.
- An individual with good credibility.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP is preferred.
- Strong leadership qualities, initiative and a strong drive for success with good understanding of total customer satisfaction.
- Ability to organize, schedule, control cost to maximize the efficiency and problem solving.
