**JOB DESCRIPTION - FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

**1) **Key Tasks**
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results, including timely and accurate closing of the financial accounts on a monthly basis as well as the year-end close
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Preparing Monthly Management Reports including comprehensive actual financial performance vs budget variance and trend analysis of financials with insight commentaries
- Timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Coordinating Capital Calls for the Funds
- Liaising with appointed 3rdparty tax agent for existing investments
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process, including the computation of key financial indicators and measures
- Managing the budget process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff

**2) **Statutory Compliance**
- Overseeing the financial year-end process which includes co-ordination with all stakeholders for reporting and the preparation of financial statements
- Handling audit and tax matters including statutory audit, quarterly GST and Corporate tax filing
- Maintaining oversight on all overseas investments including the associated local, state, and federal government reporting requirements / tax filings
- Handling external filings such as statistic returns and MAS reporting where applicable
- Developing and documenting business processes / accounting policies to strengthen internal controls

**3) **Others**
- Assist on various administrational items which may occasionally include non-financial tasks

**Skills Requirement**:

- Accountancy degree or its equivalent
- CPA or CMA preferred
- At least 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Previous working experience in funds / fund management companies is an advantage, especially an understanding of tax incentives schemes that are applicable to Singapore registered fund entities

**- **Experience with creating financial statements

**- **Experience with general ledger functions and month-end / year-end close processes
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team
